چکیده
Aim: Mucoadhesive buccal films provide drug delivery for both local and systemic circulation with increased patient compliance. The objective of this study was to develop a film containing benzydamine hydrochloride (BNZ) by using hyaluronic acid (HA) as film-forming agent glycerin (Gly) plasticizer the anti-inflammatory effect on mucosal ulcer. Material Methods: effects different concentrations HA Gly responses were analyzed 23 factorial design. ratio selected independent factors, work mucoadhesion, tensile strength, elongation at break, contact angle values chosen dependent factors. Nine formulations prepared constant BNZ concentration (0.15%) solvent casting method. Mechanical mucoadhesion properties evaluated, also angles calculated. release profiles evaluated in simulated saliva solution (pH 6.8). Results: All successfully Increasing from 0.5 2 % raised mechanical formulations. Although addition decreased strength values, it break about ten times. released more than 60 mins. Conclusion: It is concluded that oral mucoadhesive are promising treating ulcers.
